- Hand-held video games, puzzles, books, toys, movies, etc.
- A favorite pillow, blanket or comforter (no down or feathers)
- Slippers or house shoes with non-skid soles
- Robe or cover-up to wear when walking in the hall
- Favorite snacks (no fresh fruit or vegetables)
- Favorite non-alcoholic drinks
- Button-up tops (easier and more convenient for IV line use)
- Calendar
- Photographs
- Extra-soft bristle toothbrushes and favorite toothpaste
- Calling card for long-distance calls
- Eye glasses (preferred over contacts)
- Inflatable guest bed (single size only)
Leave at home
- Fruits and vegetables
- Fresh flowers or live plants
- Perfume
- Alcohol-based skin products
- Electric appliances (compact refrigerators, microwave ovens, etc.)
- Alcohol-based mouthwash
